Spring is here, and DBHA continues its steady, measured growth. We have now served over 275 clients.
We are particularly happy with the wide range of clients we have been able to serve. The Wholeistic Education Model, created and implemented by Joe Walsh, our Program Director, has allowed us to create an environment in which adolescents with all types of issues and difficulties feel comfortable. Although normally our age range is 13 through 18, we have made some exceptions and have worked with clients as young as 11 and as old as 20. We’ve effectively treated a wide range of diagnoses, including adolescents with Depression and Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Schizophrenia, Pervasive Developmental Disorders, serious Substance Abuse Disorders, and pretty much every diagnosis in between. We’ve worked with kids in school, out of school, in the juvenile justice system, and even work with one client currently in a residential program. Suffice it to say, for an adolescent willing to engage in our treatment program, Direction can be the place for them.
