For many adolescents, the end of their time in the Direction Intensive Outpatient Program is both a source of pride but also of anxiety (sometimes for their families, too!). Transitioning from the structure and support of the IOP experience to their normal lives can be quite a challenge. To help ensure a successful transition, DBHA offers an after-care group.
This group provides graduates with a smaller dose of the same Wholeistic Education® experience they enjoyed during their time in the IOP, and an opportunity to process their transition with others who are going through the same experience.
This group meets on Tuesdays from 5:15 - 6:00 PM. It operates with a fluid, open membership, allowing clients to choose their level of participation from week to week. To minimize administrative costs, it is offered on a fee-for-service basis (25 dollars per session).
