With school is back in session, our Intensive Outpatient Program's census is rising accordingly. It is always striking to us how the social and academic pressures of school impact teenagers and their mental health
With our trusty lieutenant Cerissa out in California working on her Psychology Degree, we appreciate the tremendous efforts put forth by our Psychology Intern, Kim, who has some big shoes to fill but is doing an admirable job. We hear from Cerissa that she is doing well but misses us, and looks forward to her return in 2010.
Here are some statistics from our IOP since opening in January, 2008:
Number of Intakes: 383
Percent Admitted: 85%
Average Length of Stay: 13 days
Referral Sources:
Emergency Rooms (20%)
Outpatient Providers (20%)
Inpatient Units (20%)
Self-Referrals (20%)
Other (20%)
Thanks as always to our wonderful Associates.
